This is an exciting role within a well-established Dental practice based just outside Crewe. The role is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills and knowledge in the Dental sector, whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the clinician with patients, e.g. mixing materials, recording notes
  • Sterilisation/decontamination duties
  • Maintaining stock levels
  • Liaising with support staff to ensure smooth running of processes and patient care.

*Salary will be reviewed after 3 months by employer based on job performance*

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join a busy team at Euro Dental Care. You will answer the telephone in the prescribed manner, welcome all patients arriving at the practice, ensure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate and collect and record patient payments.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure that patient records are completed correctly before filing and storing them in an efficient, tidy and secure manner

  • Encourage prompt payments and chase outstanding debts according to the practice policy
  • Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required
  • Send out patient recalls
  • Compile day sheets
  • Keep the office, reception area, utility, waiting room and other areas clean and tidy
  • Support the senior nurses
  • Organise stock supplies and control
  • Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice (perhaps including the duties and tasks of a dental nurse when required)
  • Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities
  • Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR
  • Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers’ instructions
  • Use all equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and ensure that they are maintained regularly and in good working order
  • Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
  • Ensure the care and welfare of patients
  • Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed
  • Handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies

Duties will include:

  • Creating and maintaining customer satisfaction and developing relationships through effective communication

  • Processing returns, identifying customer order requirements and any problems with the order
  • Resolving queries over the phone

An opportunity has become available to work in a fast paced warehouse and shipping department. The apprenticeship will cover the movement, shipping and storage of goods, and will be working to support our current logistics team.

The role will include but is not exclusive to;

  • Taking delivery of goods from courier companies – these will include chemicals both hazardous and non-hazardous.
  • Checking the goods upon receipt, highlighting broken products or discrepancies to Admin teams.
  • Booking in goods on company’s stock control system.
  • Picking stock to satisfy customer orders.
  • Packing goods ready for UK and International shipment.
  • Processing shipments for collection though courier websites / software.
  • Stock control and organisation of current stock.
  • Electronic  and manual organisation of daily shipping paperwork

You will be responsible for reporting to the Contacts Managers and negotiating with suppliers/contractors. Works/jobs will need to be booked in and fulfilled accordingly, with administration, reporting and job cost forecasting responsibilities as well.

  • Update our bespoke ‘Prime’ IT system with information following handover from sales, in-depth detail of site, i.e. access, delivery times, contacts
  • Ensure jobs have been handed over correctly with relevant PO’s
  • Create RAMS specific with each job, once checked these will be sent to the client along with our insurances and site-specific drawing which needs to be signed and returned
  • Chase and track sub-contractors for sign off/notes/images on Prime following job visits
  • Transfer completed images over to the shared drive under the complete images section
  • Update Prime with any additional costs/visits that are incurred on jobs
